BMA Account Manager

Job Description:

Client liaison for all plan management issues, requiring limited travel; new business implementations and renewals, client enrollment meetings; contract maintenance; vendor relationship management; assistance for Sales & Marketing Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for client satisfaction and retention through proactive contacts and thorough follow-up on outstanding issues.
  • Must maintain routine, favorable contact with current clients.
  • Review plan performance and recommend plan changes.
  • Present renewal information in an informed and educated manner.
  • Recommend products/services to clients and follow up with Producers on sales leads.
  • Resolve issues pertaining to rates/fees and stop loss.
  • Meet or exceed company goals regarding customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as information resource to clients, sales support, marketing and management regarding ongoing operations.
  • Decision Making/Problems: Make decisions based on a combination of factors. Solve arising problems using sound judgment and experience. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the organization and nature of the business in order to resolve problems.
  • Cultivate relevant markets by developing and maintaining industry and product knowledge, understanding customer needs and concerns, participating in Marketing events and continuously promoting a positive company image.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related discipline is required. Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement.
  • A minimum of three years experience in health insurance industry, claims operations, or customer service experience--self-funded environment a plus..
  • Has thorough understanding of the organization, work environment, and process.
  • Strong technical skills required to complete assignments, might be required to train others in area of technical expertise.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must possess strong Project Management skills.
  • Must be able to organize activities and handle multiple projects simultaneously with effective and timely follow up on each.
  • Must possess a positive attitude while operating under pressure and be an independent problem solver.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and group presentation skills.
